Richard Jones, Independent Chair, Leeds Safeguarding Adults Board
"In Strategic Plan for 2016-19 we have set out how we will work towards achieving our Vision, 'Leeds - A safe place for everyone'.
We have four key Ambitions that will guide all of our work over the next 3 years:
1. Talk to me, hear my voice - keeping people at the centre of safeguarding practice
2. Improve awareness of safeguarding across all our communities
3. Improve responses to domestic abuse
4. Learn from experience to improve how we work
In our Strategic Plan below, we have included a draft Annual Plan for 2018/19, this sets out specific objectives for the year ahead.
We had added new actions, all marked in Red, that we feel will help us to develop safeguarding in Leeds. These will help us to:
Develop our multi-agency policy and procedures
Develop our approach to learning and development
Develop our links and involvement with citizen groups
Work more closely with our partner strategic boards
We are always interested to hear people's views on our plans. Are we focused on the right issues? Do you have other suggestions? We are interested in your views at anytime, but if you are able to tell us your views by 11th June 2018, we can take them into account before we finalise our plans for the year ahead."
